Along with the San Diego Fair, you’ll find the Switchfoot BRO-AM and other music festivals, the Race Across America, surfing championships, the Scottish Highland Games, car and tractor shows, and even an early Independence Day parade.

First Friday Art Walk

June 5
Join First Friday Art Walk by supporting our vibrant art community showcasing pop-up art galleries, custom jewelry, dance performances, live music and poetry. San Marcos Annual Trails Day

June 6
This year you can enjoy a 5-mile hike to Double Peak Park, a 5-mile bike ride around the Discovery trails, a leisurely 1-mile interpretive walk and a 6-mile equestrian trot along the Ridgeline Trail. The event area and booths open at 8:30am with hikes starting shortly after that. All except equestrian trot meet at 650 Foxhall Drive. Equestrian trot check-in is at Ridgeline Trailhead parking lot across from Double Peak Elementary School.

Trail volunteer event at The Crossings at Carlsbad Trail

2025 USA Surfing Championships

USA Surfing is the IOC-recognized National Governing Body for the sport of surfing in the USA. The City of Vista and EDCO are sponsoring a FREE shredding, e-waste collection, and compost giveaway event. Limited to two banker’s boxes (10inchx12inchx15inch) per household.

Unwanted electronics including TVs, computers, monitors, laptops, computer components, printers, scanners, and fax machines will be collected.

Free, self-service compost is available for Vista residents. So, please bring your own cans/bags, gloves, and shovel. There is a limit of 3 cans/bags per vehicle.

Race Across America

Each year, cyclists convene in Oceanside ready to prove themselves in Race Across America (RAAM), one of the most respected and longest running endurance sporting events in the world. RAAM racers bike 3000 miles across 13 states, climbing 170,000 vertical feet in no more than 12 (for solo riders) to nine days (for teams). In Oceanside, you can cheer on the competitors as they launch their epic sprint.
