Summer fun is here! June has so many great North County and San Diego events! Of course, there’s the San Diego Fair, but there are also art walks, festivals, concerts, plays, bike rides, surfing contests, Highland games, an Independence Day parade and more. Keep reading for more great San Diego and North County events!

First Friday Art Walk

June 2
Join First Friday Art Walk by supporting our vibrant art community showcasing pop-up art galleries, custom jewelry, dance performances, live music and poetry. Event maps are distributed every month, listing that month’s locations, art happenings and sponsors.

San Marcos Trails Day

June 3
A challenging, 7-mile hike with more than 1,000 feet of elevation gain will be offered to Double Peak Park via the Cima Loop Trail and La Plaza Drive. A 1-mile interpretive walk will feature the flora and fauna of the Discovery Creek Trails. And a 6-mile equestrian trot will also be offered starting from the Ridgeline Trailhead.

VANC Annual Car Show

June 3
We’ll be featuring all sorts of extraordinary cars, trucks, and vehicles. Enjoy live music, fun and a great time. Paper Shredding & E-Waste Recycling Event

The City of Vista and EDCO are sponsoring a FREE shredding event. Limited to two banker boxes (10inchx12inchx15inch) per household. A certified shredding truck will be present during the event, and all items will be shredded onsite. Unwanted electronics will also be collected, including TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, VCRs, etc. However, no household hazardous waste (HHW) material will be accepted.

Race Across America

June 13 & 17
Each year, cyclists convene in Oceanside ready to prove themselves in Race Across America (RAAM), one of the most respected and longest running endurance sporting events in the world. RAAM racers bike 3000 miles across 12 states, climbing 170,000 vertical feet in no more than 12 (for solo riders) to nine days (for teams). In Oceanside, you can cheer on the competitors as they launch their epic sprint.

2023 USA Surfing Championships

June 13-17
USA Surfing is the IOC-recognized National Governing Body for the sport of surfing in the USA. Summer Fun on the 101
