Escondido Día de los Muertos Festival

Nov. 1
An opportunity to gather together as a community to honor and remember our loved ones who are no longer with us. The Center will stay true to tradition and have altars outside the Museum for anyone to use.

San Diego Asian Film Festival

The San Diego Asian Film Festival (SDAFF) is San Diego’s premier film showcase of Asian American and international cinema. Founded in 2000, the festival has grown to become the largest exhibition of Asian cinema in the western United States. Each year, the festival brings West Coast, North American, and world premieres of films from around the world to San Diego and gives audiences unique opportunities to discover international cinema. This year, the 23rd edition of SDAFF will showcase over 100 films.

Boogie Woogie Ball

Nov. 4
Join Wounded Warrior Homes for a fun evening of live 1940’s music from ‘Gin & Tonix’, plus dancing, dinner, silent & live auctions. We will be raising funds to house post-9/11 veterans challenged with PTSD & Traumatic Brain Injury. 100% of proceeds from this event go directly to support the Wounded Warrior Homes’ veteran housing program.

This challenging 5-mile hike to Simmons Family Park will give hikers the opportunity to explore the trails of the Rancho Dorado/Rancho Carrillo area and make a brief visit to Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park. There will be 645’ of elevation gain. Meet at Carrillo Elementary School in Carlsbad.
