2015 San Diego County Fair

Location: Del Mar Fairgrounds
Start your summer at the 2015 San Diego County Fair – Friday, June 5 through Sunday, July 5 (closed Mondays and the first two Tuesdays). For centuries, people across the world have traveled to World’s Fairs to celebrate innovations, art and agriculture. In 1915, people flocked to San Diego for the Panama-California Exposition, held in Balboa Park. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of this milestone event, and the history and influence World’s Fairs have had on the modern-day, the 2015 San Diego County Fair theme is A Fair To Remember: A Celebration of World’s Fairs and Balboa Park.
San Diego Greek Festival
June 5 – 7
Location: San Diego, 3655 Park Boulevard
St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church invites you to join the annual Greek Festival. Treat yourself to an enjoyable Friday evening with delicious Greek food, imported wine and beer, live Greek music and dancing. Then come back the next day for more fun. On Sunday, repeat as needed!
San Marcos Rock, Blues and BBQ Festival

Location: San Marcos, Walnut Grove Park
San Marcos and the Allens will be rocking with 8 phenomenal bands, mouth-water barbecue and family fun at the Rock, Blues & BBQ Festival.
First Friday ArtWalk

Join local downtown businesses to promote our vibrant art community showcasing live performances, music, poetry, hands-on art, culinary and pop-up art galleries, embedded in local businesses and public spaces.
2015 World Famous Mud Run at Camp Pendleton

Location: Camp Pendleton
This course includes military obstacles that will get your juices pumpin’. Keep the traditions going strong by tackling the original World Famous Mud Run. There’s a 10K, a 5K and a 1K for the kids.
Beach Fest 2015

In celebration of the first day of summer, join the Zero Waste team in standing up for our oceans against litter and pollution at Beach Fest 2015! Celebrate San Diego’s North Shore paradise with a beach concert and dancing, great earth friendly art installations, sand sculptures, a pier swim, beach cleanup, yoga, earth conscious vendors, and a massive community inspired aerial photograph of a Human Chain for the Earth. Come help us create a community inspired to protect our oceans and waterways!
RB Alive! Street Fair

Carlsbad Beach Fest®

The Vista Conservancy Trail Walk/Bike Ride

Join the Vista Conservancy in conjunction with BikeWalkVista.org for a Trail Walk and Bike Ride along the Vista Conservancy nature trail. The trail runs along Buena Vista Creek – from Wildwood Park to Vale Terrace Drive, near Brengle Terrace Park.
Holi Festival of Colors

Race Across America

Location: Oceanside, Oceanside Pier
Race Across America (RAAM) is one the most respected and longest running endurance sports events in the world. RAAM is seen as a pinnacle of athletic achievement not only in cycling circles but the greater sporting community as well. Racers must traverse 3000 miles across 12 states and climb over 170,000 vertical feet. Team racers have a maximum of nine days and most finish in about seven and a half days. Teams will ride 350-500 miles a day, racing non-stop. Solo racers have a maximum of 12 days to complete the race, with the fastest finishing in just over eight days. Solo racers will ride 250-350 miles a day, balancing speed and the need for sleep. Come show your Oceanside spirit by cheering on the start of these endurance racers!
San Diego International Beer Festival

Now in our ninth year, the San Diego International Beer Festival has become one of the top beer festivals and competitions in the U.S.! Last year, nearly 11,000 beer lovers joined in on one of our five tasting sessions, sipping their way through their choice of 400+ varieties of ale, cider, porter, stout, mead and more!
La Jolla Festival of the Arts

The 29th Annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts returns with a new look and Surf Culture theme, bringing guests the finest in art, cuisine, live entertainment, and fun for the whole family. LJFA will feature 200 prestigious local and national artists showcasing their work in painting, sculpture, photography, glass, jewelry, ceramics, wood, fiber and mixed media.
Fairy Festival
June 20
Location: Encinitas, San Diego Botanic Garden
Fairies! Come celebrate summer at the Hamilton Children’s Garden. Wear your fairy costume or come just as you are. Create a fairy house, make fairy treasures, leave messages on the wishing bush, or shop in the Fairyland market. Be sure to bring your camera for a picture with the Fairy Princess. Absolutely no adults in costumes please.
TGIF Concerts in the Parks
June 26

Location: Carlsbad, Stagecoach Community Park
Our first concert is The Kelly Rae Band peforming songs by female country artists from patsy Cline to Carrie Underwood. This six-piece group has opened for Melissa Etheridge. The field opens at 4 p.m. for you to be able to set up your area. Food can be purchased on site or you may bring your own picnic. Remember low back chairs only, no smoking and no dogs allowed. The concert is free.
Summer Fun on the 101

Location: Encinitas, Leucadia along Coast Highway
Come to Leucadia’s sixth annual community celebration of music and surf culture featuring free music, great beer, an art show and family activities. There will be a raffle to raise funds for the Paul Ecke Cental Music Program with over $4,000 in prizes!
Annual San Diego Scottish Highland Games
June 27 – 28
Location: Vista, Brengle Terrace Park
The two day event will feature activities and entertainment for all ages including heavy athletics, sheepdog demonstrations and trials, highland dancing, Scottish country dancing, Scottish vendors, Scottish foods and beers, bag piping and drumming competitions, Clan tents, children’s activities, concerts and more.
Julian Laguna Classic
June 27
Location: Julian, Frank Lane Park
Come join us for San Diego County’s most scenic bike rides! Based out of Frank Lane Park right in the heart of the Historic Gold Mining town of Julian. Bring the family or friends and make a weekend of it.
Distances of 24 or 62 mile (100K). Your entry fee includes rest stops with water, energy drinks, PB&J sandwiches and bananas. And what Julian event would be complete without post ride Julian Pie and ice cream served along with refreshments! And all finishers receive an event medal.
Independence Parade
June 27

Location: Oceanside, Coast Highway
Join us for the 21st annual Independence Parade as it makes it way north on Coast Highway from Wisconsin Avenue to Civic Center Drive (just past City Hall). Come see floats, bands, walking groups, cool cars and much more. Our theme this year is “Legends and Legacies”.
Viewing of the parade is available from the sidewalks along the entire route. Spectators are encouraged to bring folding chairs. The highest concentration of viewers will be on the north end of the route past Seagaze Avenue.
